LINDA (RICHARDSON) PETERS, age 79 of Thorsby, passed away on March 8, 2026 at Baptist Health-Shelby Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Walker County, Alabama on November 14, 1946, the daughter of the late Gaither Richardson and the late Ada Lee Carey Peters.
Linda was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She found great joy in the simple blessings of life, especially the time she spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her home was often filled with love, laughter, and the comfort that only a mother and grandmother can provide.
In her quieter moments, Linda enjoyed working word search puzzles and relaxing while listening to southern gospel music on the local radio station. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, her love for her family, and the warmth she brought to those around her.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Cater of Thorsby, Johnny (Angie) Peters of Jemison, and Bill (Monica) Peters of Hartselle; her daughter, Cheryl (Frankie) Brown of Thorsby; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Faye (Steve) Ross of Bessemer; her brothers, Phillip (Rebecca) Richardson of Quinton, Tracy (Arlene) Peters of Maplesville, and Thomas Peters of Grove Hill; and her sister, Linda Kay (Ron) Kalseck of Watertown, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Peters; her father, Gaither Richardson; her mother, Ada Lee Peters; and her siblings, Gay Howard, Donnie Richardson, Ann Baugh, Jimmy Peters, Nathan Peters, and Susan Peters.
