Lou Ellen (Burton) Martin-Carlee

LOU ELLEN (BURTON) MARTIN-CARLEE, age 81 of Verbena, passed away on October 29, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Montgomery County, AL on November 13, 1942; the daughter of the late Boyd Eugene Hill and the late Dorus Higgins Hill.

She was a former seamstress with Camp Town Togs.

She is survived by: Husband, Cecil Carlee of Clanton; Daughter, Lana (Richard) Dykes of Tallahassee, FL; Daughter, Marlie (Mike) Cleckler of Gadsden; Daughter, Tammy (Jason) Griffin of Clanton; Daughter, Vanessa (Bill) Davis of Hope Hull; Daughter, Joann Chandler of Verbena; Grandchildren: Ricky Dykes, Ashley (Sam) Leahey, Scott Davis, Hannah (Alex) Little, Brittany Davis, Amy (Antonio) Henriquez, Lane Davis, and Austin Chandler; 7 Great Grandchildren; and Brother, Gordon Burton of Montgomery.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Bob Martin; Grandson, Michael Heath Cleckler; Parents, Boyd Eugene and Doris Hill; Brother, John Erbi Burton; and Brother, Eugene Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Carter and Rev. Mike Cleckler officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
