Louis Moore Obituary

LOUIS DAVID MOORE, age 77 of Clanton, passed away on October 31, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Birmingham, AL on September 7, 1947; the son of the late Aurban David Moore and the late Carrie Elizabeth Lawall Moore.

Louis honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. After his service to his country, he returned home and began a successful career in pharmaceutical sales that spanned over 35 years. He had a life-long love for the game of tennis and enjoyed playing almost daily. In the fall he could be found pulling for his favorite football team, the Alabama Crimson Tide.

He is survived by: Wife, Sharon Moore of Clanton; Daughter, Tammy (Darren) Bailey of Clanton; Son, Micah (Judith) Moore of London, England; Grandchildren: Clay Bailey of Clanton, Kyle (Courtney) Bailey of Montevallo, and Courtney P. Bailey of Thorsby; and Sister, Mary Davis of Odenville.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Aurban and Carrie Moore; Sister, Carrie Mae Bird; and Infant Brother, Louis Aurban Moore.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:00pm in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.

The family requests no flowers, but encourage memorial contributions be made in Louis’ memory to Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama at 300 Office Park Sr. Suite 225 Birmingham, AL 35223.
