Louise (Smith) Cleckler

LOUISE SMITH CLECKLER, age 86 of Clanton, passed away on September 2, 2021 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on February 22, 1935; the daughter of the late Lee Smith and the late Paralee Edwards Smith.

She was a former employee at the Jemison Basket Factory. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her home was always open to everyone.

She is survived by: Son, Richard Cleckler of Clanton; Grandchildren: Savannah Louise Cleckler of Clanton, Misty Dawn Cleckler of Clanton, Timothy Oneal Cleckler of Clanton, and Riley Cleckler of Clanton; and 10 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Richard Morris Cleckler; Son, Timothy Dale Cleckler; Daughter, Carolyn Cleckler; Parents, Lee and Paralee Smith; 6 Sisters; and 1 Brother.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Refuge Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
