Malinda Hubbard Obituary

MALINDA ANN (EASTERLING) HUBBARD, age 68 of Clanton, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025 surrounded by her family at home. She was born in Chilton County on September 24, 1956; the daughter of the late CD Easterling and the late Betty Lee Baker Easterling.

Malinda was a woman of deep faith, and her unwavering belief in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the foundation of her life. She found great joy in singing hymns and worshiping with her church family. Her voice, filled with the spirit of her faith, was a cherished sound that uplifted everyone who heard it. Her love for the Lord guided her every step, and she shared this faith with all who knew her, offering encouragement and strength in both word and deed.

Above all, Malinda was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved taking care of them, always finding ways to make their visits special. Known for her baking, Malinda would often make two batches of cookies—one for them to enjoy while they were there, and one to take home as a sweet reminder of her love. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of homemade treats, and her heart was full of the laughter and love that only family could bring.

Her passion for cooking, baking, and nurturing her loved ones was only matched by her generosity and kindness. Whether she was preparing a family meal or simply sharing a moment of joy with her grandchildren, Malinda made every gathering feel like a blessing. She was a constant presence of warmth, care, and faith in the lives of all who knew her.

Malinda leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, church family, and all those who were fortunate enough to experience her care, kindness, and unwavering faith.

She is survived by: Son, Wesley (Marie) Hubbard of Clanton; Son, Jeremy (Michelle) Hubbard of Maplesville; Grandchildren: Ashley Hubbard, Amberly Hubbard, Brayden Edwards, Layton Edwards, Ainslee Edwards, Triniti Tennyson, and Cale Tennyson; Great Grandchildren: Bryson Dunn, Chase House, Maverick Mims, Ayden Todd, Paisley Todd, and Savannah Todd; Sister, Becky (Roger) Cleckler of Clanton; and Sister, Sandra (Bill) Burdette of Clanton.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Earl Hubbard.
