MARK STEPHEN ALLRED, age 53 of Jemison, passed away suddenly on September 25, 2024 in Clanton, AL. He was born in Nashville, TN on November 13, 1970; the son of the late Stephen Jackson Allred and Fairy Elizabeth Chamblee Allred.
Mark was a devoted husband and loving father. He loved working with youth sports where he served as a lifelong coach and umpire. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer. He served a 20-year career in the Alabama Army National Guard where he honorably served his country during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mark enjoyed a 12-year career in law enforcement, serving in both Chilton and Shelby counties. In his later years he worked as a truck driver in the food distribution service industry.
He is survived by: Wife, Tara Allred of Jemison; Daughter, Emma Allred of Jemison; Daughter, Abby Allred of Jemison; Mother, Fairy Allred of Oneonta; Brother, Michael Allred of Blakely, GA; and Stepmother, Brenda Allred of Tomball, TX.
He is preceded in death by: Father, Steve Allred.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Kelley officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow the service at 2:00pm in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.
