Marsha Kay Franklin

MARSHA KAY (WARD) FRANKLIN, age 62 of Alabaster, passed away on December 21, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Jefferson County on August 26, 1957; the daughter of the late Curry Ward and Ann Rhodes Ward.

She was a former customer service representative with MCI.

She is survived by: Husband, Gary W. Franklin of Alabaster; Son, Trent (Anna Katherine) Franklin of Alabaster; Mother, Ann Ward of Wilton; Sister, Debbie Strickland of Pell City; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her Father, Curry Ward.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 2:00pm from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church No. 1 with Rev. Kenneth Bruce officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 1 Cemetery in Thorsby, AL.

The body will be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, AL.
