Martha Dianne (Carr) Hill

MARTHA DIANNE HILL, age 70 of Maplesville, passed away on July 30, 2020 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS. She was born in Selma, AL on January 11, 1950; the daughter of the late James Clinton Carr and the late Myrtle Brooks Goodman.

She was a former dietary worker at Hatley Healthcare in Clanton.

She is survived by: Daughter, Pamela Waggoner of Adamsville; Daughter, Jennifer McElroy of Gulfport, MS; Daughter, Ora (Cecil) Williams of Billingsley; Daughter, Jamie (Jeff) Smitherman of Ocean Springs, MS; Grandchildren: Robert (Heaven) McElroy, Derek (Tabitha) McElroy, Austin Willis, Sable McElroy, Dakota Smitherman, Morgan Smitherman, Jasmine Smitherman, and Melody Williams; 7 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Bobby Carr of Selma; and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were as family.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, James Richard Hill; Father, James Clinton Carr; Mother, Myrtle B. Goodman; Step-Father, Harvey Lee Goodman; Brother, James “Jimbo” Carr; and Brother, Roger Goodman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 2:00pm from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church No. 2 with Rev. John Barfoot officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 2 Cemetery in Maplesville, AL.
