Mary Clyde (Robinson) Jones

Mary Clyde Jones of Clanton AL, age 71. Born at home in Shelby County AL, on March 23, 1953. Passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, on September 28, 2024.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, whose warmth touched the lives of many. 

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Paul Jones, and her son, Mark Christopher Jones.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Ruth Burnett, and her brothers, Kenneth Robinson, Phillip Robinson and Donna Robinson. Mary’s legacy continues through her children: Stephanie Renee Smith, Michelle Jones Carroll, and Paul Cedolphus Jones. She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and her extended family includes many cherished nieces and nephews. 

Mary was known for her deep devotion to her family and her kind, nurturing spirit. She will be deeply missed but remembered for the love and joy she brought to those around her. 

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. A graveside service to honor her life will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1:00pm in Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, AL, where family and friends can gather to honor her life and legacy.
