Mary "Lucy" Lue (Davis) Jones

MARY LUE “LUCY” JONES, age 78 of Clanton, passed away surrounded by her family on May 17, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on January 9, 1944; the daughter of the late J.A. Davis, Jr. and the late Gertrude Friday Davis.

She was a former retail worker.

She is survived by: Son, Kenny Jones of Clanton; Son, Tim (Rose) Jones of Clanton; Daughter, Nancy (Jeff) Johnson of Clanton; Grandchildren: Sammy Johnson of Clanton, Samantha (Randy) Green of Clanton, Cody (Courtney) Jones of Clanton, Kaylin Jones of Clanton, Devin (Cheyenne) Jones of Clanton, and Jacob (Cheyenne) Jones of Clanton; and Great Grandchildren: Madilyn Jones of Clanton, Meladee Jones of Clanton, and Emberly Jones of Clanton: Brother, Billy (Brenda) Davis of Vida.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Raymond Jones; Great Granddaughter, Julianna Jones; Parents, J.A. Davis, Jr. and Gertrude F. Davis; and Brother, Grady Davis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 5-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. David Jones, Rev. Derrell Jones, and Rev. Don Vanderslice officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lime Springs Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
