Matthew Louis Hourany, age 37, of Thorsby, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2026.

He is survived by his beloved son, Brantley Hourany of Columbiana; his mother, Susan (Ken) Mims of Thorsby; his father, Robert Hourany of Phenix City; his sisters, Brittney (Brian) Pickern of Thorsby, Christian (Bret) Findley of Thorsby, and Emily Mims of Thorsby; his grandmother, Donna Beasley of Odenville; his niece, Lala Pickern of Thorsby; his nephew, Luke Pickern of Thorsby; his niece, Emily Findley of Thorsby; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Dora Hourany; his grandfather, Jerome Beasley; and his grandmother, Shirley Mims.
