Merle Eulene (Mobley) Walker

MERLE EULENE (MOBLEY) WALKER, age 86 of Plantersville went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Dallas County, Alabama on June 16, 1938, daughter of the late Willard Eugene Mobley and the late Lannice Evie Athalee Mobley.

Merle was a homemaker, who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, tending her flowers, and cooking for everyone. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family truly loved her and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her Daughter, Juanita (Marc) Broadhead of Plantersville; Sons, Phil (Brandi) Walker of Plantersville, Kerry (Susie) Walker of Plantersville; Granddaughter, Santana (Malcolm) Willingham of Winfield; Granddaughter, Heather Walker of Plantersville; Grandson, Nathan (Lindy) Broadhead of Plantersville; Grandson, Gus (Brittany) Walker of Plantersville; Granddaughter, Kelsey Walker of Plantersville; Granddaughter, Anna Walker of Plantersville; Great-Granddaughter, Lindsey Sims of Tuscaloosa; Great-Granddaughter, Abby Walker of Plantersville; Great-Grandson, Levi Carter of Plantersville; Great-Grandson, Aiden Carter of Plantersville; Great-Grandson, Luke Walker of Plantersville; Great-Granddaughter of Hazelyn Broadhead of Plantersville; Great-Granddaughter, Evelyn Broadhead of Plantersville; Great-Grandson, Eli Burge of Jones; Great- Grandson, Beckett Walker of Plantersville; and Great-Granddaughter, Raelyn Broadhead of Plantersville.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Willard and Lannice Mobley; Sisters, Johnnie Walker, Dora Hayes; Brother, Gene Mobley; Husband, Thomas Herman “Bill” Walker; and Grandson Thomas Daniel Sims.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00pm- 7:00pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel Friday, October 25, 2024.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Alpine Baptist Church in Plantersville, with Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating.

Internment will follow at Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery in Plantersville, AL.
