Michael Dennis Little

MICHAEL DENNIS LITTLE  of Childersburg, AL, passed away on September 9, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.  He was 81 years old.  

Mike was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, father-in-law, and uncle.  Outside the family he was a friend to everyone he met.  He was very active in his church and in his community - always looking for ways he could help others.  He was a Charter Member of the Gulf Shores Council of Knights of Columbus.  Mike loved being with his family and friends, attending art and music festivals, motorsports events, riding bikes at the beach, and eating great food with others.  He was a kid at heart that never grew old.

Mike was a graduate of the Ringling School of Art and Design and enjoyed a long career in interior design for many large department stores in the Southeast.  He later opened the Eighth Avenue Gallery Framing Shop in Childersburg where his work was always in demand. 

Mike is survived by his Wife, Martha “Rester” Little, of Childersburg, AL; Son, Lee Little (Donna) of Birmingham, AL; Son, Chad Little (Gayle) of Merritt Island, FL; Brother, Richard Little of Childersburg, AL; Grandson, Michael Little (Ashley) of Pinson, AL; Granddaughter, Lindsey Little of Birmingham, AL; Granddaughter, Katy Little of Orlando, FL; Grandson, Joe Little of Tampa, FL; and his Great Grandson, Alexander Lee Williams of Pell City, AL.

He is preceded in death by his father, Audie R. Little, and his mother, Betti “Manasco” Little.

A visitation will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Childersburg, AL.  A funeral mass will follow at 11:00am with Father  Shobhan Singareddy officiating.  Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL. 

In lieu of flowers, the family believes Mike would prefer donations to his church at Holy Name of Jesus, P O Box 1111, Sylacauga, AL  35150
