MICHAEL WADE NABORS, age 64, of Verbena, passed away suddenly on April 14, 2025, at his residence. Born on October 5, 1960, in Fort Benning, Georgia, he was the son of the late Homer Fred Nabors and the late Mary Faye Clements Nabors.
Michael spent his professional career as a dedicated foreman on an oil rig, where he was respected for his hard work and leadership. In his younger years, he was a proud Golden Gloves boxer, known for his strength and determination.
Michael was a simple man who found joy in life's quiet moments and purpose in caring for those closest to him. He lived for his loved ones and devoted himself wholeheartedly to their well-being. He especially enjoyed playing and shooting pool and could always be found with a warm cup of coffee in hand.
He is survived by his devoted companion, Melissa Driver of Verbena; special children, Adreanna Quinn and Datlyn Quinn, both of Verbena; and beloved grandchildren, McKinleigh Hicks, Kimer Quinn, Derrick Mann, Drake Mann, Dylan Mann, and Emma Gray. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In accordance with Michael’s wishes, he will be cremated, and the family will hold a private service at a later date.
Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, AL.
