Myrtie Elizabeth (Young) Davis

MYRTIE ELIZABETH (YOUNG) DAVIS, age 81 of Clanton and formerly of Tuscaloosa, passed away on December 6, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Tuscaloosa County on September 4, 1942; the daughter of the late John L. Young and the late Lucille Beasley Young.

She was a former restaurant cook. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by: Daughter, Mary (Dennis) Price of Clanton; Daughter, Virginia Davis of Clanton; Granddaughter, Christy Price of Clanton; Grandson, Billy Price of Clanton; Granddaughter, Kimberly (Thomas) Smitherman of Clanton; Grandson, Evin Ryland of Clanton; 9 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Nell Duncan of Clanton; Brother, Kenneth (Doris) Young of Vance; and Brother, Leroy Young of Cottondale.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Clarence Davis; Grandson, Dennis "Bubba" Price, Jr.; Granddaughter, Amy Price.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm in the Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL with Rev. Tony Boyd officiating.
