Olivia Marie Clayton, age 2, of Thorsby, Alabama, passed away on April 17, 2026, at Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham.
Olivia was born on January 29, 2024, in Homewood, Alabama, the cherished daughter of William Cullon Clayton and Alexandria Blaine Gallavan Clayton.
Though her time on this earth was brief, Olivia’s life was filled with purpose, love, and a quiet strength that deeply touched all who knew her. She faced each day with a courage beyond her years, and her sweet spirit was a reflection of God’s grace. Her family takes comfort in the promise of eternal life, knowing that Olivia is now healed, whole, and resting peacefully in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ—free from pain and filled with perfect joy.
Olivia found happiness in the simple things. She loved watching Garfield, and nothing brought her more comfort than being close to her daddy, proudly known as a “Daddy’s girl.” Her bright, beautiful smile could light up a room, and her presence brought a special kind of peace and love that will never be forgotten. In her own quiet way, Olivia showed those around her the meaning of unconditional love, strength, and faith.
She is survived by her loving parents, Will and Allie Clayton of Thorsby; her sisters, Oaklyn Clayton and Layla Clayton, both of Thorsby; her grandparents, Cullon Clayton of Thorsby, Daniel and Michelle Nuxoll of Rainsville, Misty Velazquez of Warrior, and Patrick and Marla Gallavan of Helena; her great-grandparents, Pete Allen of Columbiana and Brenda Northcutt of Rainsville; her great-great-grandparents, Gary and Phyllis Ragsdale of Evansville, Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sheila Allen; her grandfather, Kerry Shepherd; her great-grandparents, William and Nancy Clayton; and her great-great-grandmother, Alice Ragsdale.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton, with Rev. Keith Adams officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, Alabama.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Children’s Hospital of Alabama for the compassion, kindness, and loving care shown to Olivia throughout her life.
Though her days here were few, Olivia’s life was a precious gift. She will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her until the day they are reunited again.
Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, Alabama.
