Ovis Rhodes, Jr.

OVIS RHODES, JR., age 59 of Jemison, passed away suddenly on October 24, 2019 as the result of an ATV accident. He was born in Chicago, IL on June 21, 1960; the son of the late Ovis Rhodes, Sr. and the late Sue Ann Wagoner Rhodes.

He was a truck driver.

He is survived by: Sister, Peggy (Tony) Thrash of Jemison; Sister, Polly (Ricky) Taylor of Jemison; Sister, Eva (Lewis) Brothers of Crossville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Gail Rhodes; Parents, Ovis Sr. and Sue Ann Rhodes; Sister, Janice Rhodes Fennell; and Brother, Scotty Rhodes.

The family is honoring the request of Ovis to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

His cremains will be interred next to his late wife at the Clanton City Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
