PEGGY CAROLYN (BLOW) COX, age 79 of Clanton, passed away on March 8, 2022 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on October 12, 1942; the daughter of the late Johnny V. Blow and the late Lucille Dawson Blow.
She was a homemaker and was know by her family affectionately as “Granny Peg.”
She is survived by: Daughter, Lesia (Alan) Childress of Clanton; Daughter, Vickie (Randall) Land of Clanton; Grandchildren: Austin (Camille) Childress, Katelyn (Zac) Champion, Isabella (Nathan) Hudson, and Jason (Heather) Pierce; 7 Grandchildren; Niece, Angie Fuller; and Nephew, Anthony Roper.
She is preceded in death by: Husband, Bobby Ellison; Grandson, Joshua Pierce; Great Grandson, Jon Gabriel Champion; Parents, Johnny and Lucille Blow; Sister, Linda Driver; and Nephew, Aubrey Roper.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00am in the Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 Cemetery in Jemison, AL with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
