Phyllis Dorough Obituary
PHYLLIS LUCILLE (WARREN) DOROUGH, age 74 of Marbury, passed away on June 16, 2020 at Tallassee Heath and Rehabilitation in Tallassee, AL. She was born in Evergreen, AL on October 5, 1945; the daughter of the late Howard M. Warren and the late Myrtle W. Dollihite Warren.
She was a self-professed “domestic engineer”, who was a devoted wife and mother. She was the pianist at Unity Baptist Church in Marbury, AL for many years.
She is survived by: Husband, Patrick Dorough of Marbury; Son, Thomas (Sharon) Dorough of Deatsville; Son, Howard Dorough of Marbury; Son, Peter (June) Dorough of Prattville; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; and Brother, Wade (Brenda) Warren of Birmingham.
She is preceded in death by: Granddaughter, Megan Dorough; Grandson, Steven Dorough; and Parents, Howard and Myrtle Warren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Marbury, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Gideon’s International Ministries for the purchase of Bibles.
