Mr. RC Jackson Crumpton, Jr., 69, of Newnan, GA, died Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Born August 12, 1952, in Clanton, Alabama, he was a son of the late RC Jackson Crumpton, Sr., and the late Vivian Loretta Taylor Crumpton-Cook. Mr. Crumpton was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church and was a retired HVAC Technician. He loved Alabama football, and enjoyed golf, bowling, and travel. He also enjoyed singing karaoke and loved to sing to his wife.
Survivors include his wife, Linda S. Crumpton; son, Shane Crumpton (Kimya); daughter, Misty Smith (Jason); stepsons, Darren Brown (Heather), and Ryan Brown; sisters, Sandra Boyd, and Donniette Bracken; 4 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, RC Jackson Crumpton, Sr. and Vivian Crumpton-Cook; Step-Father, Clifford L. Cook; Brother-in-Law, William G. Boyd; Brother-in-Law, James Bracken; and Great Nephew, Ean Wade Boyd.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 1-2pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton, AL.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 2:30pm in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
