REV. CARLTON FORD CLARK, age 95 of Clanton, passed away on May 25, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on April 19, 1929; the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Clark and the late Alma Hawk Clark.
Rev. Clark honorably served his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a member of the Thorsby Masonic Lodge where he was raised a Master Mason. Upon the closing of the Thorsby lodge he joined with the Jemison Stanley Cost Masonic Lodge. He was also a Shriner. Rev. Clark spent many years ministering and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the cotton mill village of Clanton. He had a wider influence through his years of preaching and sharing the Gospel through his program on Clanton’s WKLF radio station.
He is survived by: Son, Danny (Frankie) Clark of Clanton; Daughter, Kim McDaniel of Clanton; Stepdaughter, Lorene Jones (Tommy) Porter of Clanton; 4 Grandchildren; 4 Step-Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: Wife, Patsy Clark; Wife Agnes Jones Clark; Stepdaughter, Delene Jones Baker; Grandson, Jason Connell; and Great-Great Grandson, Grayson Hayes.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
