Rev. Travis Eugene Marler

REV. TRAVIS EUGENE MARLER, age 47 of Jemison, passed away on March 9, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Homewood, AL on December 16, 1977; the son of the late Richard Wayne Marler and Karen Jackson Marler-Elmore.

Travis was pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Jemison where he served out the calling that the Lord laid upon his heart to preach the Gospel. He loved being able to help and minister to people. In his spare time, Travis enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to hunt, especially deer hunt.

He is survived by: Wife, Kimberly Marler of Jemison; Daughter, MaKayla Marler (Josh) Smith of Jemison; Mother, Karen Elmore of Calera; Brother, John Marler of Newport Richie, FL; Brother, Jason Marler of Calera; Brother, Kaleb Elmore of Calera; and Brother, Josh Elmore of Calera.

He is preceded in death by: Father, Richard Wayne Marler.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Jerry Harrison, Jr. officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Cemetery in Calera, AL.
