Richard Otto Chandler

RICHARD OTTO CHANDLER, age 47 of Thorsby, passed away suddenly on December 28, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Clanton, AL on February 7, 1974; the son of Julius Chandler and the late Barbara Waldrop Chandler.

Richard was an avid Alabama Football fan.

He is survived by: Father, Julius Chandler of Clanton; Brother, Timothy Chandler of Thorsby; Uncle, Carey (Cheri) Waldrop of Jemison; Aunt, Vera (Ray) Driver of Clanton; Uncle, E.J. (Linda) Chandler of Brierfield; a host of cousins, and his faithful canine friend, Charlie.

He is preceded in death by: Mother, Barbara Waldrop Chandler; Grandparents, Edward and Dot Chandler; and Grandparents, William “Shorty” and Margie Waldrop.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison, AL.
