Richard Lee Hayes

RICHARD LEE HAYES, age 55 of Maplesville, passed away on November 9, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on September 19, 1969; the son of the late Linwood Hayes and the late Hilda Ruth Martin Hayes.

He was a carpenter by trade. Richard was a hard worker who would do anything for anybody. He was loved by many, and he loved his family dearly. In his spare time Richard could be found playing his guitar and listening to music or enjoying the outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by: Wife, Rachel Vincent Hayes of Maplesville; Son, Daniel Falkner of Maplesville; Daughter, Haley Falkner of Maplesville; Granddaughter, Jordan Turner of Maplesville; Granddaughter, Coraline James of Maplesville; Grandson, Tyler Miller of Maplesville; Brother, Ricky Hayes of Maplesville; Sister, Jeanie Hayes Strattis of Clanton; Sister, Paula Hayes of Jemison; Sister, Dena Kromer of Thorsby; Sister, Carol Carpenter of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Linwood and Hild Ruth Hayes; and Sister, Mary Helen Hayes.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and Rev. John Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Inurnment will take place in the Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
