Richard "Ricky" Lane Lockhart

RICHARD LANE “RICKY” LOCKHART, age 67 of Clanton, passed away on October 11, 2024 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. He was born in Chilton County on September 15, 1957; the son of the late Fate Lockhart and the late Minnie Rhodes Haddox.

Ricky was a hard-working man who tirelessly worked to provide for his family. He continued to work right up until the end. He loved his family and spending time with his babies. In his spare time, he could be found taking in his favorite western movies on TV or watching Alabama Crimson Tide football. 

He is survived by: Daughter, Stephanie (Tom) Killingsworth of Clanton; Daughter, Misty (Kenny) Bolton of Jemison; Son, Willard Lockhart of Maplesville; Son, Justin (Melissa) Lockhart of the Isabella Community; Grandson, Shawn Lockhart; 7 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Wilbert Lockhart of Thorsby; Brother, Thomas Lockhart of Clanton; Brother, Alton Lockhart of Thorsby; Sister, Loretta Coodey of Clanton; and Sister, Annette Evans of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Vickey Lockhart; Son, Kevin Jones; Grandson, Dylan Lockhart; Father, Fate Lockhart; Mother, Minnie Rhodes Haddox; Stepfather, Fred Haddox; Sister, Emily Easterling; Brother, Donald E. Lockhart; and Brother, James Earl Lockhart.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Refuge Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
