Ricky Allen Thomas

RICKY ALLEN THOMAS, age 65 of Clanton, passed away on January 16, 2023 at St. Vincent East Hospital in Trussville, AL. He was born in Clanton, AL on March 3, 1957; the son of the late Doyle Thomas and the late Bobbie Green Church.

Ricky was a career truck driver. His CB handle out on the road was “Crazy”. He loved to shop online where he often ordered small items such as pens, small flashlights, and other items in bulk that he would randomly give away to those he came in contact with. He loved his family and spending time with them. Most of all he loved his Lord Jesus Christ and became an evangelist. He founded Prodigal Sons Ministry where he shared about the hope and redeeming grace and salvation that can be had through a personal relationship with Jesus.

He is survived by: Wife, Carolyn Rollan Thomas of Clanton; Son, Michael (Valerie) Johnson of Alexander City; Daughter, Bethany Rollan of Montgomery; Daughter, Lisa Hoggle of Clanton; Daughter, Haley Thomas of Alexander City; Daughter, Karissma “Pug” Thomas of Clanton; Grandchildren: Justin Stewart, Gracey Stewart, Heather Hancock, Raylinn Hancock, Mykel Adams, and Logan Johnson; Sister, Cathey (Pete Staggs) Edwards of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Grandson, Skylar Stewart; Father, Doyle Thomas; Mother, Bobbie Church; Brothers: Kenneth Green, Terry Garrick, and Pete Thomas; and Sister, Linda Thomas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Teddy Chadwick officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the New Harmony Holiness Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
