ROBERT EARL JOHNSON, age 76 of Clanton, passed away at home surrounded by his family on April 23, 2021. He was born in Chilton County on March 16, 1945; the son of the late Napolen Johnson and the late Mary Alberts Johnson.
Robert was known around Clanton and surrounding cities for manufacturing ornamental concrete in Lomax. He owned and operated the concrete yard from 1980 until 2012.
He is survived by: Brother, Jeff (Nancy) Johnson; Brother, Leroy (Donna) Johnson; Brother, Joe Johnson; Brother, Jimmy (Sue) Johnson; Brother, Neal (Betty) Johnson; Sister, Betty (Aaron) Smith; Sister, Mary (Rayford) Clackler; Special Niece, Samantha Johnson (Randy) Green; Special Nephew, George “Sammy” Johnson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
His best friend was Deanna Willis and her children, Kaydence and Dexter Willis. Family and friends will all cherish the memories they made with him throughout the years. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and customers.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Napolen and Mary Johnson; and Brother, Charles “Boddie” Johnson.
In accordance with Robert’s wishes, he will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 6:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Jeremy Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family will hold a private inurnment service at a later date in the New Harmony Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
