Robert Lee Mims

ROBERT LEE MIMS, age 66 of Westover, passed away suddenly on December 13, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Lee County, AL on June 20, 1959; the son of the late Eib Mims and the late Nettie Irene Emery.

He was a Christian man and a great loving family man. He loved his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and grandkids. They were all his life. He loved his Lord in Christ every time the door was open, he was there serving the Lord. He was a deacon for Bible Christian Fellowship Church for many years.

He loved fishing, especially at the river place. He loved spending time with his wife and family. His grandkids were his life. He would do anything for any of them. He never met a stranger, as he would talk to anyone. He would help anyone even if he did not know them. He loved life in general and loved living life. He loved all the small moments in life. He was deeply loved by many and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by: Wife of 47 years, Charlotte Mims of Westover; Daughter, Robin (Preston) Hunt of Columbiana; Daughter, Misty (Craig) Bailey of Moody; and Grandchildren: Christian Hunt, Mika Hunt, Landon Hunt, Raylee Bailey, and Raylan Bailey; Brother, Martis (Wanda) Mims, and Sister; Clara (Danny) Moore, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Granddaughter, Chloe Bailey; Parents, Eib Mims and Nettie Jones; Brothers: Jr. Mims, Jimmy Mims, Danny Mims, and Jerry Mims; and sisters, Jennett Atchison Smith and Janet Kerr.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral home with Rev. Jeff Mims and Rev. Kelvin Smitherman officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Cemetery in Calera, AL.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, AL.
