Robert John Norcross

ROBERT JOHN NORCROSS, age 75 of Clanton, passed away on March 12, 2025 at Prattville Baptist Hospital in Prattville, AL. He was born in Neptune, NJ on October 10, 1949.

He honorably served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy as a UDT/Frogman Navy Seal during the Vietnam Conflict along with service in various other countries. Following his military career, he would go on to serve an 11-year career with the North Carolina Department Corrections where he retired as a Lieutenant.

He loved to hunt and fish, especially trout fishing with his son and grandsons. He could always be found attending the various athletic competitions and games of his grandchildren. He seldom missed a game, and it gave him great joy to watch them compete.

He is survived by: Wife, Claire Norcross of Clanton; Son, Jay (Denise) Norcross of Clanton; Daughter, Rhea (Jeremy) Coradi of Clanton; and Grandchildren: Brice Cartwright, Aldea Moore, Tatumn Norcross, Leo Coradi III, Donovin Norcross, and Bella Coradi.

He is preceded in death by: Grandparents, Bill and Emma Veron.

Funeral services with military honors will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 2:00pm from Union Springs Baptist Church in Randolph, AL with Rev. Shawn Lowery officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Due to a severe allergy, no floral arrangements will be accepted. The family encourages memorial contributions be made to either the American Heart Association or The Wounded Warrior Project.
