Roger Lynn Coggins Sr.

ROGER LYNN COGGINS SR., age 69 of Clanton passed away December 15, 2024 at his home. He was born in Chilton County, Alabama on May 9, 1955, son of the late Sie Coggins and the late Janie Coggins.

Roger was a former machinist. He loved his grandchildren, drag racing, and Alabama football. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Ozzy.

He is survived by his Son, Roger (Rachel Rena) Lynn Coggins, Jr., of Clanton; Grandsons, Sheldon Lynn Coggins, Conner David Coggins, and Logan Roger Coggins, all of Clanton; Brother, Rondal Wayne Coggins, of Clanton; and Special Friend, Linda Brasher of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by his Wife, Judy Darlene Coggins; Parents, Sie and Janie Coggins; and Sister, Dian Coggins.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 5:00PM- 7:00PM at the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.

Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Funeral Expenses.
