RONALD EUGENE GOTHARD, age 68 of Jemison, passed away on February 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on August 23, 1952; the son of the late Claudie Gothard and the late Kathleen Stephens Gothard.

He was a former truck driver. He enjoyed racing and working on race cars. He also enjoyed working on heavy equipment.

He is survived by: Wife, Jean Gothard of Jemison; Step-Grandson, Raymond Russell of Braselton, GA; Step-Great-Grandson, Hudson Tanner Russell of Braselton, GA; Niece, Renay Driggers of Jemison; Niece, Leanne Medena of Jemison; Surrogate Son, Frankie (Martie) Smith of Jemison; Step-Nephews: Scott Moore, Gary Lee Moore, and Robbie Moore; Brother-in-Law, Gary (Joan) Moore of Houston, TX; Sister-in-Law, Sally Moore of Douglasville, GA; Sister-in-Law, Nancy Gothard of Jemison; and his fur grandbaby and constant companion, Taz.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Claudie and Kathleen Gothard; Brother, Lonnie Gothard; Step-Daughters, Lisa and Lori Johnson; Brother-in-Law, Steve Moore; and Sister-in-Law, Pamela Moore.

At Mr. Gothard’s request, no funeral services will be held.
