Roy Allen Dennis

ROY ALLEN DENNIS, age 69 of Verbena, passed away on March 28, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Clanton, AL on October 16, 1951; the son of the late Buddy Dennis and the late Gertrude Willis Dennis.

He was a former truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Roy honorably served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren who were the light of his life. The absolute love of his life, was his wife, Barbara, for 50 years.

He is survived by: Wife, Barbara Dennis of Verbena; Daughter, Brandi (Jeffrey) Patterson of Verbena; Son, Brian (Carla) Dennis of Verbena; Daughter, Brooke Dennis of Montgomery; Granddaughter, Haylie Claire Patterson of Verbena; Grandsons, Owen and Brody Dennis of Verbena; A future great grandchild; and Grandchildren of the Heart, Cheyann Barchard and Austin Barber.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Chestnut Creek Cemetery in Verbena, AL with Rev. Derek Deavers officiating.

There will be no visitation. Please meet at the cemetery for the service.
