Roy "Mike" Michael Scott

ROY MICHAEL “MIKE” SCOTT, age 64 of Jemison, passed away on July 3, 2021 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL. He was born in Corpus Christy, TX on December 24, 1956; the son of the late Roy Sylvester Scott and the late Dorothy Helen Lowe Scott.

He was a truck driver for the city of Jemison. Mike loved his family and the beauty of nature. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially spending time at his coy pond with his animals. In his quiet time he could often be found listening to southern gospel music, especially the Gaithers.

He is survived by: Wife, Beckie Scott of Jemison; Daughter, Patricia (Crymes) Harrell of White City; Daughter, Kim (William) Skinner of Jemison; Son, John Scott of Jemison; Son, Patrick (Jill) Scott of Verbena; 12 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Derrick (Nancy) Scott of North Carolina; Brother, Wade Scott of Clanton; and Sister, Debbie (Clay) Martin of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by: Father, Roy “Dink” Scott; and Mother, Dorothy Scott.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Oscar Mims and Rev. Randal Mims officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
