DONNIE RUVON (LOWERY) DEFEE, age 82 of Jemison, passed away on May 19, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on April 29, 1942; the daughter of the late Kanie R. Lowery and the late Oleena Owens Lowery.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her door was always open for those who needed help. She was a church going woman who loved the Lord and everyone she came in contact with.
She is survived by: Son, Bubba (Donna) Jackson of Jemison; Son, James (Karen) Jackson of Alabaster; Son, Dylan Prewett of Jemison; 16 Grandchildren; 38 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Mary Ingram of Thorsby; and Sister, Georgia Anderson of Jemison.
She is preceded in death by: Husband, Rev. Milton Lee Defee; Grandson, Scotty Jackson; Granddaughter, Dana Jackson; Parents, Kanie and Oleena Lowery; Brother, Rudolph Lowery; and Sister, Frances Talley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
Burial will follow at 2:00pm in the New Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery in Highland Home, AL.
