SAMMY LYNN MOTEN, age 62 of Shelby, passed away on April 15, 2021. He was born in Chilton County on October 13, 1958; the son of the late Sam Moten and the late Sarah Nell Martin Moten.
He was a former concrete worker.
He is survived by: Son, Drew Moten of Gulf Shores; 4 Grandchildren; Sister, LaRita (Michael) Kirkman of Orange Beach; Brother, Johnny Mack Moten of Shelby; Sister, Tammy (Johnny) Ratliff of Jemison; Brother, Grady Moton of Clanton; and numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by: Son, Stevie Moton; Parents, Sam and Sarah Nell Moton; Brother, Michael Moton; and Sister, Joyce Varden.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 7:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and Rev. Jason Green officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Burial will take place in the Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
