SAMUEL EARL BAKER, age 80 of Clanton, passed away on December 27, 2020 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He was born in Chilton County on December 14, 1940; the son of the late Harlom Baker, Sr. and the late Ruth Kate Cleckler Baker.
He was a former electrician with Alabama Power Company. He loved the outdoors and hunting. He will be remembered as a hard-working man who took care of his family.
He is survived by: Wife, Ann Baker of Clanton; Son, Duane (Tracy) Baker of Clanton; Daughter, Kellie Baker (David) Bonnett of Hueytown; Grandchildren: Cody (Krisi) Baker, Caloub Baker, Casey Baker, Devin Creel, and Daina (Josh) Smith; Great-Grandchildren, Savannah and Wade Smith; Brother, James Carl Baker of Prattville; and Brother, Harlom Baker, Jr. of Orange Beach.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Harlom Sr. and Ruth Kate Baker; and Sister, Margaret Golden.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 2:00pm from Pinedale Assembly of God Church with Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in the Pinedale Assembly of God Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
