Shannon Gail (Jacks) Corn

SHANNON GAIL (JACKS) CORN, age 57 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on January 29, 2025 at UAB St. Vincent-Chilton Hospital in Clanton, AL. She was born in Montgomery, AL on July 26, 1967; the daughter of the late Douglas Eugene Jacks and the late Linda Nell Johnson Parker.

She was a former dental assistant. Shannon was a devoted wife and loving mother and MiMi. It was her nature to care for other people, many times placing them above herself. In caring for others, she believed that in doing so she was being the hands and feet of her Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their various games and activities. She had a love of the outdoors where she enjoyed tending to her flowers and also loved visiting and taking in the beauty of the beach.

She is survived by: Husband, Tommy Corn of Clanton; Son, Justin Corn of Clanton; Daughter, Kristen Devlin of Clanton; 7 Grandchildren; Brother, Jason Parker of Athens; and Sister, Amanda McMunn of Harvest.

She is preceded in death by: Father, Douglas Jacks; and Mother, Linda Johnson Parker.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Marsh officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

A private family burial will follow in the Bethsalem Baptist Cemetery in Billingsley, AL.
