Steven Dwane Headley

STEVEN DWANE HEADLEY, age 62 of Jemison, passed away suddenly on December 23, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Jefferson County, AL on July 7, 1962; the son of the late Hoyt Gaston Headley and the late Mildred Elizabeth Barnett Headley.

He retired as an elevator technician with Bagby Elevator Company. Dwane enjoyed going saltwater fishing and spending time metal detecting. He was also known to be a good cook. His nieces and nephews will remember him for all of the crazy trips he took them on, especially a trip to Six Flags. He enjoyed spending time with all of them.

He is survived by: Brother, Nicky (Kathy) Headley of Jemison; Brother, Marty (Donna) Headley of Jemison; Sister, Sherri (Barry) Wingard of Bismark, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Hoyt and Mildred Headley; and Brothers, Gary Headley and Randy Headley.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, AL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
