Sue (Roberts) Moore

SUE ROBERTS MOORE, age 79, of Calera, AL passed away on August 23, 2025, at Baptist Health-Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Philpot, KY on December 20, 1945, the daughter of the late Samuel Milard Roberts and the late Dorothy Marie Pentecost Roberts.

Sue retired from Texas Gas, where she dedicated her career as a secretary. Outside of work, she had a zest for life and enjoyed the things that brought her joy—NASCAR, golf, and cheering passionately for Kentucky Basketball. She also had a natural gift for growing plants, known for her green thumb and love of nurturing flowers and gardens.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Steve) Killingsworth of Thorsby; her grandson, Michael Killingsworth of Thorsby; her sister, Ann Roberts of Hoover; and her nephew, Todd (Joanna) Roberts of Whitesville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney James Moore; her parents, Samuel M. and Dorothy M. Roberts; her brother, Donnie Roberts; and her nephew, Steven Roberts.

The family will honor her life with a private service at a later date.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
