Susan Elizabeth (Mims) Garrett

SUSAN ELIZABETH (MIMS) GARRETT, age 68 of Maplesville, passed away on June 30, 2020 in Calera, AL. She was born in Chilton County on October 1, 1951; the daughter of the late Willie Clyde Mims and the late Mary Alice Ellison Mims.

She was a former laborer and brick mason.

She is survived by: Son, Brian Keith (Stephanie) Popwell of Jemison; Daughter, Debra Hunt of San Diego, CA; Son, Steven (Dina) Lett of Randolph; Daughter, Karen Lett of Thorsby; Son, John Garrett of Columbiana; Daughter, Tammy Garrett of Thorsby; 11 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Kathy (Renfroe) Smith of Calera; Brother, Jeff (Carolyn) Mims of Clanton; Brother, Danny (Linda) Mims of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by: Parents, Clyde and Alice Mims; Sister, Janet Knotts; Brother, Richard Mims; Brother, Tracy Mims; and Grandchildren: Lyric Naugher, Athena Hollinger, Judson Naugher, and Johnus Naugher.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 6:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Jeff Mims officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
