Susan Elizabeth (Melton) Thomas

SUSAN ELIZABETH (MELTON) THOMAS, age 77 of Thorsby, passed away on May 3, 2025 at the Healthcare Center at Buck Creek in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on March 20, 1948; the daughter of the late Grady Melton and Dorothy Simmons McCormick.

She was a former waitress.

She is survived by: Son, Clark Thomas of Thorsby; Daughter, Amy (David) MacPherson of Thorsby; Son, Tim (Crystal) Thomas of Foley; Daughter, Lorie Brandenberg of Thorsby; 6 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; Mother, Dorothy McCormick of Thorsby; and Sister, Ramona Pierce of Thorsby.

She is preceded in death by: Father, Grady Melton; and Brother, Richard Melton.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 6:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. David Evans officiating.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
