Tabitha Faye Wallace

TABITHA FAYE WALLACE, age 38, of Deatsville, passed away on January 28, 2026, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Montgomery County, Alabama, on December 9, 1987, the beloved daughter of James Lee Bishop and Tammy Faye Wallace Bishop. Though Tabitha was disabled most of her life, she possessed a feisty spirit and a heart full of compassion, always eager to help anyone she could.

Tabitha found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially a cold glass of sweet tea and watching reruns of The Golden Girls. An old soul at heart, she could happily spend countless hours browsing and shopping at Walmart. Above all else, Tabitha will be remembered for the deep love she showed to her family, especially her nieces and nephews, who held a very special place in her heart.

She is survived by her parents, James Bishop and Tammy Bishop of Deatsville; her brother, Wesley (Anna Bell) Bishop of Verbena; her grandmother, Shelby Wallace of Clanton; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Noah Bishop, Adalyn Bishop, Aiden Hill and Alexavier, Oak, and Eleven.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Wallace; her uncle, Chris Wallace; her great-grandparents, James and Ida Mae Wallace; and her great-grandmother, Ducie Lewis.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Roland Hazel officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Tabitha’s life, though filled with challenges, was rich in love, kindness, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who were blessed to know her.
