TAMMY JOHN JACKSON, age 66, of Shelby, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 1, 2025.
She was born in Austin, Texas on August 25, 1959, the daughter of the late Billy Jackson and the late Laura Carter Jackson. Tammy was a talented and hardworking woman who spent many years as a master upholsterer with Jackson’s Upholstery, where she was known for her skill and attention to detail.
Tammy had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in the simple beauty of nature. Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest happiness came from caring for and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her strength, her fierce love, and the unwavering devotion she gave to those closest to her.
She is survived by her children: Glenn Langston of Shelby, Tabbie (Marshall) Trotter of Mobile, and William Langston of Columbiana; her grandsons: Jacob Langston, Easton Trotter, and Grayson Trotter; and her brother, Kenny Schmidt of Shelby.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. David Wooten officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the New Hope Community Cemetery in Jemison, Alabama.
