Tammy Terrell Young

TAMMY TERRELL YOUNG, age 47 of Talladega, was called to eternal rest on May 3, 2025 at UAB-St. Vincent Chilton Hospital in Clanton, AL. She was born in Talladega, AL on June 8, 1977 to the late Mary Ann Young.

She was the oldest of four children. She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church. She received her education at Lincoln High School and Job Corp in Gadsden, AL where she became certified as a nursing aide.

Tammy leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter, Brittany (Terrance) Young of CO; Grandson, Kayden Hayes of CO; Grandmother, Mary (Stanley) Garrett of Talladega; Sister, Marquetta (Tevin) Young of Talladega; Brother, Michael (Tashie) Young of Talladega; Brother, Markus Young of Germany; Aunt, Tonya Young of Anniston; Uncle, William Young of Talladega; Uncle, Timmy Young of Oxford; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by: Mother, Mary Ann Young; Uncle, Alphonza Young; and Aunt, Christy Young.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton, AL.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Talladega, AL.
