THERESA BETH (VINCENT) FRY, age 63 of Bessemer, passed away on July 1, 2025 at her residence. She was born in New Fane, New York on July 8, 1961, the daughter of the late Charlie Vincent and Nelda Parrish Hopkins.
Theresa was known for her grit, determination, and her unwavering work ethic. She never shied away from hard work—often holding down two or three jobs at a time throughout her life. Whether working in factories, convenience stores, cleaning homes, or during her years at the Birmingham Racecourse, she found a way to make things happen.
She had a deep love for bowling, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Theresa had a soft spot for her grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. Known for her love of cozy pajamas, her strong will, and her sharp sense of humor, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Theresa believed in being early—never late. If there was an appointment, you could count on her being there 15 minutes ahead of time. She opened her heart and home to many in need, always making sure there was a hot meal on the table, even when she wasn’t feeling her best.
Through it all, Larry stood by her side—through sickness and in health. His constant care, love, and devotion were evident to all who knew them. He lovingly called her “Chicken Fry,” a nickname that captured their special bond.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Larry Miller; daughters, Cammi (James) Tolbert and Nina (Julius) Harrison; son, Tim (Heather) Fry, Jr.; grandchildren, Sean, Dylan, Raiden, and Kolter; mother, Nelda (Don) Hopkins; stepmother, Elaine Vincent; sisters, Carol (Chuck) Hoy, Sherry (Carl) Dempsey, and Heather (Dave) Miller; brother, Major Clifton “John” (Judy) Vincent; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Vincent.
