Thomas Wayne East, Sr.

THOMAS WAYNE EAST, SR., age 90 of Shelby, AL , passed away on October 2, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Bogalusa, LA on July 29, 1934; the son of the late Thomas Walton East and the late Charlotte Catherine Galloway East.

Thomas retired from the Savannah, Georgia Police Department where he had a successful career in law enforcement. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner in Savannah. He was devoted to his Christian faith and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by: Wife, Nancy East of Shelby, AL; Son, Tommy (Vicki) East of Savannah, GA; Son, Mike (Debbie) East of Cantonment, FL; 5 Grandchildren; and 14 Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Thomas and Charlotte East; Sister, Peggy J. East; and Sister, Dorothy D. Paul.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00am in Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola, FL with Rev. Thomas W. East, Jr. officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral Home located at 3351 Scenic Highway 90 E. Pensacola, FL 32503.
