U.L. Tracy

U.L. TRACY, age 89 of Clanton, peacefully passed from this world into the arms of Jesus on September 2, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on April 24, 1933; the son of the late John Allen Tracy and the late Mellie Lee Mims Tracy.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He loved his family, vintage cars and trucks, fishing with friends, hunting with his grandchildren, gardening, and swinging under the big old oak tree. He also loved his church family and gospel music.

He is survived by: Wife, Martha Faye Tracy; Daughter, Frances (Chris) Watley; Daughter, Patricia (Denver) Cleckler; Son, Jackie (Kathy) Tracy; Son, Miles (Tammy) Tracy; Grandchildren: George (Amanda) Fanning, Timothy Scruggs, David (Angie) Cleckler, Angie Tracy, Jaclyn (Josh) Mims, Kaci (Derick) McGee, Krystal Roper, Jeffrey Cleckler, McKayla Knight, Jay Knight and Mary Watley; Great Grandchildren: Jace Fanning, Grant Fanning, Delana Warner, Claire Williams, Jackson Mims, Kade McGee, Heather Roper, and Lacy Roper; a host of great-great grandchildren; and Brother, E.L. Tracy.

He is preceded in death by: Daughter, Shirley Tracy; Grandson, Tommy Knight; and Parents, John Allen and Mellie Lee Tracy.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Scott officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
