Velma Earlene Yeager

VELMA EARLENE YEAGER, age 90 of Brent, passed away on January 14, 2025 at Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home in Centreville, AL. She was born in Bibb County on August 1, 1934; the daughter of the late Gilbert E. Yeager and the late Ester Onzelle Hubbard Yeager.

She enjoyed her time with family, especially her nieces and nephews. She always found time to visit her neighbors and enjoyed quiet walks in the woods near her home.

She is survived by: Sister, Linda (Charles) Caddell of Brent; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by: Parents, Gilbert and Onzelle Yeager; and Brothers: Jimmy Yeager, Coye Yeager, and Foye Yeager.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 1:00pm from Haysop Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Bonner officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Haysop Baptist Cemetery in Eoline, AL.
