Vincent Frank Maggio Jr., 67, passed away on March 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with stage IV metastatic lung cancer.
Born on January 18, 1959, Vincent lived a life defined by service, creativity, and deep devotion to his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for more than 20 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class. His years in the military reflected his strong sense of duty, leadership, and commitment to protecting the nation he loved.
After his military career, Vincent continued to share his talents with others as a professional graphic designer and business owner of Dixieland Photo Booth. Through his work, he brought creativity, joy, and lasting memories to countless people and events.
Above all, Vincent was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate, Irene Maggio. The two shared 48 years of marriage and had been together since 1976, when their two lives first became one in a love that would last a lifetime.
He was a proud father to his son, Angelo Maggio, and his daughter, Regina Maggio Evans, and her husband Johnathan Evans. Vincent was also a loving grandfather to Grandson/ Godson, Wayne (Nikki) Maggio; Grandson,William (Morgan) Maggio; Grandson, Elliot Maggio; Grandson, Brooke Duhon Jr., and Grandson, Bobby Jones. He was blessed to see the next generation as a great-grandfather to Vincent Alexander Maggio.
Vincent is also survived by his brothers, John (Jaunita) Maggio and Anthony Maggio. He leaves behind nieces Marissa (Jeremy) Browning, Erica (Austen) Hastey, and Goddaughter, Margo Maggio; nephew Bryce Maggio; as well as a host of cousins and extended family across many miles who will cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Vincent Frank Maggio, Sr. and Margaret Sellers Maggio; Grandmother, Genevieve Seano; and Aunt/ Godmother, Mildred Maggio.
Vincent will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, creativity, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy of service, dedication, and love will live on in the lives of all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 10:00am in the Communtity Room at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton, AL. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
