WILLIE LOUIS MOUNT, age 80 of Verbena, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Luverne, AL on August 11, 1940; the son of the late Gaston James Mount and the late Emma Gertrude Duncan Mount.
He was a former welder fitter. He also honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by: Daughter, Savannah Mount Johnston of Montgomery; Daughter, Tammy Mount Turner-Alexander of Birmingham; Daughter, Beverly Mount Downing of Clanton; Son, John Gregory Mount of Pell City; Son, Kevin Louis Mount of Verbena; 7 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Mary Jo Wilson of Wetumpka; and Brother, James Larry Mount of Wetumpka.
He is preceded in death by: Wife, Janie Ophelia (Wood) Mount; Parents, Gaston and Trudy Mount; Sister, Carolyn Allen; Sister, Annette Wilson; Sister, Diane McCain; and Brother, Ira Mount.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton, AL.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Pentecostal Life Church located at 3627 Stanley St. in Montgomery, AL with Rev. Larry McEndarfer officiating.
The body will be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial with military honors will follow in the Coosa River Cemetery in Holtville, AL.
